Mtg goldfish standard deck8/19/2023 Unlike Grixis Shadow or Dimir Shadow you lose out on a lot of the tempo/control aspects and you go hard into “killing yourself enough to kill your opponent faster” so it could be a little dangerous against burn, but for some matchups that extra aggressive pressure and speed may be all it takes to push you over the finish line.Īs for upgrades I’d maybe go to a 2 color shadow deck first with Dimir playing more like a Murktide Regent deck that just has shadow in it, Rakdos can either be a more aggressive less budget version with terminate, Kroxa, temur battle rage, ragavan, and maybe fury and bloodmoon. I also saw the recent Mono-White tokens deck featured on MTGgoldfish but was told that the deck doesn't really have any upgrade path so it's a bad investment. I found this 12 Shadow budget decklist featured on an article from MTGgoldfish and it looks really fun. So i've been looking to get in to modern recently since it's one of the most played formats at my LGS, but i'm on a tight budget (around 100$, wow is modern expensive haha).
